People have been asking me lately about my experiences with Panic Away and how I was able to overcome my 5 year long reign of anxiety by using what it teaches. Many people (myself included) seem to assume that the Panic Away program isn't real, or that it's a type of scam or something or another, and come to me asking me to verify whether it's "real" or not and if they should use it.

In a nutshell, "Yes"; Panic Away is a "real" program, helping "real people" like you, with panic and anxiety related disorders. When I was looking for information about the product before I used it, I realized that most of, if not ALL of the information out there lacks useful information about the product and whether it REALLY works or not.

So I thought that I would go ahead and write out my own personal review of this program and tell others about the kind of results that I was able to get with it. Quite simply though, the program DOES WORK and YOU CAN expect positive results by using it; Guaranteed.

Panic Away: Control Returned!

Panic Away is a self-help method developed by ex-anxiety sufferer, Barry Joe McDonagh, as a tried and true course and method for anyone who suffers from panic and anxiety, and wants to get their life back in control.

Panic Away's course includes an insightful 147 page downloadable eBook, two audio tracks in .MP3 format, designed to help you take control of panic before it takes control, and one for Driving anxiety. Both of the audios combined run about 30 minutes with the driving anxiety being the longest of the two sessions at around 23 minutes.

Panic Away also includes an animated video series consisting of 3 different sections that outline the whole course and how to implement it's methods. And last but not least, it gives you access to Panic Away's private forum, and $150 worth of free one-on-one coaching with Barry Joe through his own private e-mail.

A Need for Something Different - My Story

I decided to purchase Panic Away because in the Summer of 2007 I experienced my first Panic Attack and struggled intense anxiety for the next 5 years, with re-occurring panic attacks throughout. During that time I had started to develop agoraphobic tendancies because the anxiety became to overwhelming to work, socialize, or even function normally. Even leaving the comfort of my office, can trigger my anxiety to start running in loops until I decide that I won't leave my office to keep working. So more often than not, my family finds me locked away in my office working all day until the early hours of the evening.

 yet to find something, anything to just give me some kind of relief from the anxiety. I've gone from therapy to medication, back to therapy with an upped prescription of meds. I've tried other self-help methods and natural solutions and I just never found anything that really worked

I happened to be browsing an online forum (anxietypanicattack.com) one day and saw an advertisement for Panic Away. I listened to and read nearly all of the testemonials on the website to get a feel for the people who had 'supposedly' used this product and found relief. And after I was done these seemed to be real and genuine people who really found actual relief from this program.

So I went ahead and purchased the program for around sixty bucks. It was a bargain because if this program didn't work, the program offered a full 60 day money back guarantee. So I could still get a refund, and the initial investment would have been well worth it if it did work.

Never Ordered Online Before?

If you've never ordered anything online before, don't worry; The merchant of the program uses ClickBank as their product vendor. I've used ClickBank before to buy other digital products and they always work great for me.

 Their refund service is top notch as well. So if you're worried about online transactions (like most of us) then you can trust that ClickBank is a genuine company who'll make sure you're satisfied with your transaction process.

Panic Away Made Simple - A Detailed Look at the Program

Once I had access to the program after purchasing, I went ahead and looked over the material to get a feel for where to start from. I immediately thought about the quality of the content for the price. In my personal opinion it's probably worth a little more than it's price tag, but that's to our advantage.

I never really finished going through the eBook because I'm not much of a reader and learn better with visual aid so when I started using the course I headed straight to the video section. The eBook however is a companion eBook to the video series. You'll be required to come back here later to learn how to implement the exercises referred to in the videos.

The eBook also serves as it's own learning tool being comprised of tons of useful information to help you better understand your anxiety, panic and how to overcome the both of them. 

Stage One - The One Move Technique

In the video area you'll find 3 video sections broken into different stages. The first stage deals with the primary focus of the program, which is the One Move Technique. Here your main focus for the section will be developing a mental strategy toward fear by reducing it's affects on yourself before, during, and after anxiety attacks.

What is the One-Move Technique?

The One Move technique is the fundamental principle of the Panic Away system. This technique will be able to illustrate for you when applied, just how harmless the panic is, even though it may feel terrifying at times.

The idea is that by accepting the experience rather than resisting or running away from it (Barry Joe has a wonderful way of doing this) you will be able to break the cycle of fear that is keeps you trapped in panic and anxiety. You will discover that it's that very resistance and fear of the experience itself that causes future ones to manifest in your life.

Once learned and applied consistently, you will literally develop the control over your panic before it goes into a full blown attack.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said: "Do the thing that you fear the most, and the death of fear is almost certain". And in this instance he was definitely right.

Stage Two - "Released Calm"

The second stage of the program focuses on General Anxiety, or (GAD). General Anxiety usually develops in us after our first panic attack. There we are as seemingly normal as can be, when all of a sudden we have an attack. The initial shock and confusion is often enough to put a sense of worry into us that there might be something physically or mentally wrong with us.

If you're suffering from constant worry and anxious thoughts and feelings, this part of the program will help demonstrate some simple and effective exercises to help you release that anxiety and relax into a calm state of mind.

 Joe Barry sums it up very nicely in an easy to understand way. He says:

"If we create a Scale of anxiety from 1 to 10, a full blown panic attack would register at about 9 or 10. And total blissful relaxation would be around 1. In a typical day, the average person in a metropolitan area may have an anxiety rating of 3 or 4. In comparison people who experience general anxiety would be at the 5 to 8 range. When a Panic Attack occurs a person might shoot up to the top of the scale - 9 or 10. And return afterwards to the general anxiety level of 5 to 8."

The goal afterwards is to learn to bring yourself back down to a normal anxiety level at around 2 and 4. Barry shows you how he learned to do this by something he calls, "Released Calm". After you understand how to use the One Move Technique and accept your experience, Joe Barry teaches you how to then release feelings of calmness and well-being into your mind. Joe Barry describes it as being a "buffer zone" between you and your anxious feelings that you're experiencing. This buffer zone shields the mind from the intrusive anxious thoughts and feelings, and allows you to come back down the Anxiety scale and return to your normal state of mind.

Let me tell you though, from experience, this will take practice. Especially if you're someone like me who's had this problem for a very long time. What I can tell you though, is to set a goal in your mind to dedicate yourself to practicing what you learn every single day until you see the results that you want because it's worth it.

If you find it hard to stay consistent like I did, then set up conditions around your goal to ensure that you do it. For example, I told my wife about my goal and told her that I would pay her $20 everytime that I didn't use what I had learned when I was feeling anxious. You could easily tell your spouse, close friend, family member or whomever, to keep you on track and that you'll pay them everytime you slack. I'm happy to say I didn't loose a cent!

Stage Three - Sealing Your Recovery

This section is one that I feel many people will be able to benefit from greatly. If you've experienced anxiety for quite some time, then as I mentioned it may take a bit of effort, practice, and application on your part to start seeing results. And during that time it's likely that you'll experience some set backs during your initial recovery, and this is to be expected.

I think it's worth mentioning that many people do see results fairly quickly, but after years of this kind of struggle it CAN take a little effort on your part to reach your goal. But this should not be a problem for you. These small set backs can serve as useful motivation to help you keep going. The more and more that you overcome these issues, the better you will feel overall. And if someone who's struggled for 5 years with this kind of thing can overcome panic like I have - then anyone can do it!

So stage three is all about learning how to deal with any of the potential set backs that you might have to face in the future. The great thing is, is Panic Away shows you what you need to know and how you should best deal with the situation. So if that time ever does come around, YOU'LL be ready for it!

Putting it to the Test - My Experience

In order to stop anxiety, Panic Away gives you it's trademarked One Move Technique™ as the solution to your panic and anxiety. This simple yet highly effective "perspective" I should say, towards dealing with panic and anxiety, is one of the most simple, yet at the same time, fast relieving solutions that I've found online yet. Once I saw the One Move Technique™ in the Panic Away videos I immediately was presented with an opportunity to put it into action.

Going into the program I tried to keep an open mind but didn't try and place too high of an expectation. I find the more of an expectation you put into something, the less likely it happens that way. So I just let what happen, happen.

I remember after I first watched the One Move I had to go downstairs to greet my wife's friends who were just arriving. With the thought of having to leave my office and greet a group of people I was meeting for the first time, I could feel my anxiety simmering waiting to be released. But this time was different. This time I was armed with new knowledge that I wanted to believe had the power to stop my anxiety. But would it work? I was about to find out.

When I left my office to head downstairs, I immediately felt the anxiety start to surge through my body. It passed like an unstable wave of energy that created the usual heat flushes followed by a lump in my throat sort of feeling making it hard to breath. Once my breath started to give out and my heart began to race wildly, I tried to keep the principles outlined in the book in mind. I just repeated a mantra in my head based off of what I had learned, over and over again by accepting my experience instead of trying to resist what was happening. ( <--MAJOR HINT)

It didn't happen IMMEDIATELY, but after repeating my "mantra" in my head, and getting a feel for accepting the experience instead of resisting what was happening, I felt some great relief start to slowly overcome my bodily sensations.

As I walked down the flight of stairs of my house, each step that passed under my foot became another level of my anxiety that felt at ease. When I got to the last step I was able to greet my wife's friends with some confidence and balance. My wife immediately noticed my change in behavior and gave me a secret "High-Five" behind her guests backs as she ushered them into the main living room. I couldn't have been more happy with myself!

Granted it would have been nice if that was THE END, and I lived happily ever after but unfortunately it didn't exactly work out that way. It took a couple weeks of diligent practice to make the idea of the "One Move" apart of my daily routine and ritual.

I started to slack during the second week as I started to convince myself that I wasn't seeing any REAL results, and my anxiety would soon follow back and return in greater force. Thankfully for the last stage of the program, this "negative" type of mindset is covered in the Sealing Your Recovery section. With a little help and support from my wife, it wasn't long after that, that my success started to soar and my anxiety started to disappear.

The anxiety eventually almost subsided completely. I couldn't have been happier at the time. I think it's worth mentioning that the principles, explanations, and reasons outlined in this book for my anxiety, has really been able to help me make total sense of what had been happening to me during my first initial periods of anxiety all throughout the years to now.

Once I understood that there was nothing wrong with me either mentally or physically, and understood the real causes of anxiety in my life (all discussed in the Panic Away eBook), it's as if the whole anxiety spectrum has flipped all the way around.

And after applying the One Move on a DAILY basis continuallly, my anxiety has nearly stopped completely! I mean I still get ocassional worries and jitters and reminders of how things used to be, but for the most part it doesn't affect the quality of my life like it used to.

Who Should Use Panic Away?

I would recommend that Panic Away be used by anyone who is suffering from either panic or anxiety only. I bought Panic Away thinking that all anxiety related symptoms were pretty much the same and when I realized that it wouldn't do anything for my Agoraphobia or Social Phobia I ended up having to find another solution for those set of problems as well.

As far as Panic Away goes though, it works great for General Anxiety related symptoms and those intense periods of panic. It can by used by anyone,  with any background, who has experienced either short-term or long term panic or anxiety. 

Whether you've been on or off meds, have tried a dozen therapists, have used other natural remedies, solutions or techniques. Panic Away's unique method and take on panic and anxiety makes it easily suitable for anyone to use and benefit from. Just take me for example; I've done it all and some, and was still able to make excellent use of the information provided.

Being that this product is digital this will require that it be read and watched on the computer. The additional audio files can also be listened to on your computer, burned to a CD, or put on your MP3 player for convenient access anytime you want or need it.

Who is Panic Away Not For?

If you are experiencing other anxiety related symptoms aside from general anxiety and panic such as agoraphobia, OCD, PTSD or phobia related anxiety, then Panic Away probably won't be the most suitable program for your needs.

Since Panic Away specifically targets Panic Attacks and General Anxiety Disorder, I would recommend The Linden Method as your best alternative if you're experiencing other anxiety related symptoms. I ended up purchasing the Linden Method as well to deal with my Social phobia and Agoraphobia and I'll be doing a full review on that soon. That is another excellent program that I would highly recommend over ANY OTHER product out there.

Where AmToday ?

Today I'm back to my life and have NEVER felt better! I feel 20 years younger and the only thing that has changed is my view on life. I don't think it's fair to say that Panic Away is only for Panic and Anxiety because it helps YOU accomplish so much more than just that; it gives you another shot and opportunity at life and to make it all you can. It helps you ease stress and worry and gives you the peace and calm state of mind we all could use to be successful in our lives.

Thankfully for Joe Barry and his program my anxiety is nearly completely gone, I haven't had ANY panic attacks, and my wife and I have never been happier! 

Once I was able to function in my life again I started re-making lost aquaintances, strengthening my relationship with my existing friends, and traveling the world with my family. I've re-joined my old gym, I've started eating healthy and maintaining a solid diet plan, I've started my own Business, I built this website and quite simply, along with the help of this one program I've been able to accomplish a lot of things I used to feel I would never be able to accomplish period! Because my life felt so hopeless.

I had dug myself into a hole that I couldn't get out of, and this program gave me the tools to pull myself out. And it's not necessarily the program itself, but more so the "mindset" that it helps you adapt that allows you to overcome your anxiety.
